Thinking about tomorrow's urban open space today.

Landscape architecture in an urban context: The symposium of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects focuses on our cities. The structural change of urban spaces and their redensification raise old, but also very current questions about open space design in the city. Due to social, ecological and technical changes in our environment and society, the profession of landscape architects is confronted with many new subject areas, interdisciplinary tasks and challenges.

National and international experts will look at and discuss what is moving and changing, how open spaces are designed and shared, and how they can be sustainably revitalised. The Landscape Architecture Day is aimed at landscape architects, architects, urban planners, municipal decision-makers, urban sociologists, artists, designers and everyone who is moved by and interested in urban and open space development.

Challenges of the city of the future for the landscape architecture of tomorrow | What must spaces be able to do in a post-densified city | Multiple use of spaces: How and why design succeeds, even with limited space and short-term use | Where does landscape architecture reach its limits | Making it simple: creative and unconventional approaches | National and international speakers report and provide insights
