Advanced training series 2021: Climate-friendly building (Part II)

In the second part of the digital training series (March - May 2021), the focus was on climate-compatible building greening.

Part III will be dedicated to the topic of "Digitalisation and BIM in Landscape Architecture", and Part IV will focus on "New Regulations".

Experts each explained a complex of topics on a Tuesday date, followed by a discussion. The participation fee comprises a lecture of about one hour followed by a discussion. It amounts to € 25 for members of the bdla and the VGL, for non-members € 50 per lecture. For students the participation is free of charge.
The link to participate in the digital training as well as instructions for the conference tool GoTo Meeting will be sent by e-mail one day before the event.

April 13, 2021: Prof. Dr. Swantje Duthweiler, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences: climate trees - assortments and experiences.

March 30, 2021: Dr. Andreas Horn, Board of Directors Sonnenkraft Freising e.V.: High-performance PV systems on flat roofs: New ways for biodiversity greening under PV.

23 March 2021: Dipl.Ing. Eike Richter, landscape architect, chairman bdla Berlin-Brandenburg: How can landscape architecture become more sustainable?

Those who want to build sustainably can be guided by guidelines and measured by rating systems and certificates. Eike Richter, author of the Federal Assessment System for Sustainable Outdoor Facilities (BNB_AA) and member of the FLL's Working Group on the Sustainability of Outdoor Facilities, presents systems and guidelines that are available for landscape architecture.

February 23, 2021: Dipl.-Ing. (TU) Monika Pfaffelhuber, lohrer.hochrein: CO2 expenditure in building materials - a breakdown.

How bad are concrete and asphalt? Monika Pfaffelhuber's lecture compares the CO2 emissions of various building materials commonly used in landscape architecture, explains the role of transport on construction sites and how much CO2 can be fixed by plants.

09 February 2021: Prof. Dr. Thomas Brunsch, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences: Climate-neutral construction site logistics - wish and reality.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Brunsch will focus on the possibilities that are already feasible today in the field of machine and transport-related construction site management in times of climate change.

January 26, 2021: Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Brigitte Helmreich, TU Munich: Research and standards in infiltration systems
