Together with committed municipalities, municipal landscape planning in Bavaria is to be further developed. For this purpose, the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection (StMUV) has launched a new project for the "Activation and further development of municipal landscape planning in Bavaria". Interested municipalities are requested to register with the Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL) by 30.07.2021.

Nature and landscape play a central role for the municipalities and the population - as a home space, as a location factor, as a recreational and activity space and as an ecosystem for biodiversity and natural resources.

The municipal landscape plan supports the municipalities within the framework of land use planning in future-oriented spatial development, for example when it comes to climate adaptation, land management or biotope networks. The landscape plan also provides valuable services in the public dialogue.

Communities can now express interest in participating
Committed and interested communities are invited to participate in the project. The focus is on a mutual exchange as well as the development and testing of innovative approaches to landscape planning. Municipalities which are currently or in the foreseeable future planning to create or update a landscape plan are particularly addressed.

How can I participate?
Active participation in the project is possible as a partner municipality or associated municipality. As a partner municipality, you are one of up to 7 municipalities with which the project cooperates more intensively (after a selection procedure). As an associated municipality, you participate in the project on a selective basis, e.g. in the target group survey or in workshops and information events. Which form of cooperation comes into question can be discussed with the project staff at the ANL at any time.
