Training series: BIM in landscape architecture
- Anzeige Text im Grid: Nein
The new, digital training block of the bdla Bavaria is dedicated to the topic of "Building Information Modeling (BIM) in landscape architecture" in four parts from December 3, 2024. The series is primarily aimed at beginners who are looking for a suitable introduction to the topic.
Experts explained one topic at a time, followed by a discussion.
Matthias Funk, scape Landschaftsarchitekten GmbH: Start up BIM
Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Most landscape architects only have a rudimentary knowledge of BIM methodology. In order not to miss out on future developments, it makes sense to take the first steps independently of an existing BIM assignment. We will discuss what these first steps can look like using some practical examples.
Dantong Su, Uniola GmbH Landscape Architecture Urban Planning: Parametric Design in Landscape Architecture
Tuesday, December 10, 2024, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
The parametric tools Rhino and Grasshopper will be presented, which make it possible to simplify and better control complex designs and create design freedom.
The parametric design of basic topographical forms of a landscape will be explained using various model-based calculations and simulations, such as flood scenarios, retention volume, runoff direction, slope calculation, BIM, climate analysis and earth mass determination - using example projects from Nuremberg (Germany) to the banks of the Rhine near Lake Constance (Switzerland). The Wetzendorf Park, which recently won the Bavarian BIM Prize, will be one of the projects shown.
Lisa Bareiss, Prof. Schaller UmweltConsult GmbH: Current developments in BIM for landscape planning
Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Using the example of infrastructure projects, the generation of IFC data sets from environmental data according to the BIM landscape and open space model as well as the integration of IFC planning, point cloud data and realistic tree models for visualization in GIS will be presented.
Dr. Ilona Brückner, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences: The BIM landscape and open space model
Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
For BIM planning - in every trade - standardized attribution is a fundamental prerequisite for smooth data exchange. A catalog of classes and attributes was developed for this purpose in a joint effort by buildingSMART and the FLL. This will be presented with a focus on open space projects and explained with regard to its application in practice.
Participation fee: The participation fee usually includes a one-hour lecture followed by a discussion. It is € 35 for members of the bdla and VGL and € 70 for non-members per lecture. Participation is free of charge for students.
Participation: The link to participate in the digital training and information on the conference tool GoTo Meeting will be sent by e-mail the day before the event.
