The Bavarian Chamber of Architects represents, by virtue of its statutory mandate, the professional interests of around 26,000 architects, interior designers, landscape architects and town planners.
This includes ensuring the quality of the profession’s services, as well as promoting building culture and the necessary consumer protection.
The Executive Board was elected by the 14th Representatives’ Assembly of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, which comprises the 125 representatives elected in spring 2026. These representatives were elected by the Chamber’s members for the forthcoming five-year term of office. The eleven seats on the Executive Board are allocated in accordance with the strength of the lists in the Assembly of Representatives, using the Hare–Niemeyer method. The President and the two Vice-Presidents are elected in separate ballots. The elected junior members take part in the meetings of the Assembly of Representatives in an advisory capacity; in addition, a representative of the next generation of architects will now, for the first time, serve on the Executive Board in an advisory capacity with immediate effect.
