Just under 50 projects were submitted by the deadline of 6 April for the 2026 Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize, which was held for the fourth time this year under the patronage of Reiner Nagel.
A big thank you to all the design practices and clients who, through their entries, have demonstrated the wide range and high quality of landscape architecture and urban planning in Bavaria.
In the next stage, our judges – Claudia Blaurock, Theresa Burmester, Christoph Elsässer, Johannes Kruck, Nicole M. Meier, Sonja Müller, Prof. Amandus Samsøe Sattler, Prof. Stefan Tischer, Christian Ufer and Elke Berger (deputy juror) will review all eligible projects and make a shortlist during their first meeting on 24 April 2026.
These projects will then be visited on site by Laura Loewel, a specialist journalist. The findings from her visits will be incorporated into the second jury meeting on 3 July 2026, at which our jurors will decide on the winners.
