The City of Würzburg has launched a grant scheme for greening and climate adaptation; applications can be submitted from 25 April 2026.
Through this scheme, the City of Würzburg is providing grants for a range of measures that will be of interest to property owners.
- Green roofs — up to €10,000 (€50–75 per m²)
- Green facades — up to €10,000 (50% of the costs)
- Unsealing — up to €10,000 (€90 per m²)
- Tree planting — up to €3,000 (75 per cent of the costs)
- Rainwater cistern — €500 to €800 (flat rate)
- as well as: tree care, flowering areas, balcony greening, community gardens, solar panels with green roofs
Several funding streams can be combined for the same property. Please note: The application must be submitted before work begins. Funding is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
