The aim of Munich Roof Garden Day is to show people the potential that roofs offer: as green oases, as refuges for animals and plants, as spaces for relaxation and leisure, as places of learning, for energy generation, or even a combination of these functions.
The event is organised by the City of Munich’s Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations. As a partner organisation, we would be delighted if you were to take part with your exemplary projects!
Tasks of the planning office:
- Obtaining permission to access the premises from the developer/user (a template will be provided by the organiser)
- Providing photographic material for promotional purposes
- Arranging viewing appointments
- Guided tour of the roof
The organiser is responsible for:
- Sourcing roofs
- Managing registrations
- Promotion of Munich Roof Gardens Day
- Coordination of participating rooftops
- Preparation of promotional materials
- Preparation of organisational documents
- Point of contact for enquiries of any kind
