The initiative of bdla Bavaria to modernize and further develop the municipal landscape plan is in full swing. Seven Bavarian partner municipalities and 17 associated municipalities are working on exemplary specialist modules for the landscape plan as part of a pilot project of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection.

The modules include topics such as sponge city, sponge landscape, heat adaptation, biodiversity or renewable energies. In this way, modular landscape planning, i.e. more tailored to the specific needs of the community, is to be established. The interest, also in the numerous accompanying events, is enormous. Landscape planning in Bavaria is thus attracting nationwide attention.

News 05/21: The initiative "landscape plan reset" is real

The initiative "Landscape plan reset", initiated by bdla Bavaria, is now real: Under the title "Activation of landscape planning in Bavaria", a project (2021 - 2024) has been started under the leadership of the StMUV, which aims at the revitalization and further development of landscape planning in cooperation with model municipalities.
In a kick-off meeting between the Ministry, specialized authorities, municipal umbrella organizations and bdla Bavaria, the basic approach and the main objectives and contents were exchanged on April 23. In the near future, a structured target group survey on landscape planning will be conducted among the municipalities, possibly also among experts. In the next step, a project steering group will be set up, in which further stakeholders are to be involved. Accompanying information events will also be held.
