Alongside the formal agenda items of a club meeting – such as reports from the executive committee, the working groups and other institutions, as well as internal discussions on the key issues of our time – there were three highlights on the programme for our meeting on 20 February at the Haus der Architektur.
Gottfried Hansjakob, one of the most influential landscape architects of his time in Munich and far beyond, is celebrating 55 years of membership of the bdla this year. In recognition of his long-standing loyalty and pioneering work over the past decades, he was awarded honorary membership of the bdla back in 2007; now, the Executive Board of bdla Bavaria has once again expressly thanked him for his outstanding commitment and expertise.
During the public part of the event, we presented the 2025 Young Talent Awards. The winners – Johanna Herbst, Merlin Pott, Franziska Mees and Julian Treffler – presented their final projects in person and provided an insight into current developments within the profession as they make the transition from university to the professional world.
Last but not least, Andrea Gebhard, President of the Federal Chamber of Architects and a member of the bdla, delivered a captivating keynote speech on the topic of “The Future of Green Infrastructure, the mobility transition and climate adaptation”, in which she examined the situation against the backdrop of the current economic climate and political priorities.

As always, we rounded off the day in a relaxed atmosphere, chatting amongst colleagues over dinner and drinks. Our thanks go to everyone who contributed constructively to the association’s work both on this day and throughout the past year!
