The bdla sees itself as the mouthpiece for self-employed, employed and civil servant landscape architects, experts from related disciplines and young professionals. It represents the interests of the profession in public, in politics, in business and administration. In this way, the bdla fulfils an important joint task for a numerically small professional group whose knowledge and experience are becoming increasingly important in the design of our living spaces.
The bdla offers its members a platform for the exchange of experience among themselves and for joint professional commitment. With the Garden Worlds, the North Rhine-Westphalian Landscape Architecture Award or the Young Architects Competition, the NW regional group creates a forum that is also noticed by the media and the public.
VgV award procedures are a proven means for public authorities to award contracts in the upper threshold range. There are legally regulated requirements for these procedures that must be adhered to. bdla members regularly discover violations of these rules. Following the example of the Bavarian regional group, bdla nw is launching a new network for fair awarding.
Fair allocation NRWWe are committed to ensuring that open space quality standards are met when securing and redeveloping residential, commercial and industrial areas.
Quality offensive open spaceThe bdla has represented the interests of landscape architects as by far the strongest force in recent years. Also in the coming election period beginning with the XII. Representative Assembly we will continue this commitment. The bdla is the only association that is exclusively dedicated to the interests of landscape architects. After the elections on 9 December 2020, we will still be represented with seven seats in the Assembly of Representatives and in the Landscape Architects Committee. We thank you for your vote and your trust!
