That's why the Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekt:innen (Association of German Landscape Architects) is offering a brand new format to support planning offices in qualifying career changers: the Green Basics Academy. The free seminars serve the training and further education - especially of colleagues from other disciplines and employees trained abroad.

Managing landscape change innovatively. bdla advisory board adopts "Dycker Erklärung" (Dyck Declaration)

The "industrial hunger" for fossil fuels has created its own landscapes in Germany over decades. Former natural areas have been degraded to pure energy suppliers. These altered natural landscapes will now be followed by new, post-fossil transformation landscapes. Urgent developments such as the energy and mobility turnaround will inevitably lead to renewed transformation. The tasks ahead are both an opportunity and a mandate to develop livable spaces for people.

From September 14 to 17, 2022, the now 24th GaLaBau exhibition will take place in Nuremberg. The demand for products and services related to the design, construction and maintenance of greenery is constantly increasing. So is modern man's longing for nature and urban green spaces. Green stands for more quality of life, for more quality of stay. This is why the bdla is presenting itself and the profession of landscape architects for the third time in a row at the leading international trade fair for planning, construction and maintenance of urban and green spaces at its own stand in Hall 3A.

Prof. Stephan Lenzen newly elected bdla president

Elections to the presidium of the professional association. Timo Herrmann, bbz landscape architects, Berlin, becomes vice president. Thanks to Till Rehwaldt

On April 1, 2022, the advisory board of the Federation of German Landscape Architects bdla elected a new association leadership at its annual meeting at Schloss Dyck. Unanimously, Prof. Stephan Lenzen, owner of RMP Stephan Lenzen Landscape Architects, was elected as the new president of the bdla. The 55-year-old succeeds Till Rehwaldt in office, who has held this office for eight years and whose presidium Prof. Stephan Lenzen belonged to as vice president since 2014.

Timo Herrmann, bbz landschaftsarchitekten berlin gmbh, stood as a new vice president. The members of the advisory board elected him unanimously for the election period of three years.
