The junior spokespersons of bdla Bavaria have again organized a meet eat and invite the young professionals to get to know the planning office Latz Partner from Ampertshausen (Kranzberg).
The event takes place live on site and offers students and interns the opportunity to get to know the employees in a relaxed atmosphere and to gain insights into their projects in the field of landscape architecture, urban planning and architecture.

Martin Hänsel of the Bund Naturschutz leads the members of the AG Klimaschutz of the bdla Bavaria exclusively by the Magdalenenpark Munich. The BN was able to acquire the old enchanted monastery garden in the middle of Pasing on the Würm and is currently redesigning it as a climate park. In the fourth edition of the LAwalks series, we visit Prinz-Eugen-Park in Munich, which was awarded the Bavarian Landscape Architecture Prize 2022, among other prizes.
For this we could win Katja Aufermann (Liebald Aufermann Landscape Architects and Urban Planners), Peter Wich (TERRA.NOVA Landscape Architecture) and Rupert Wirzmüller (WRW Freiraumarchitekten). They will give us an on-site insight into their projects in Prinz-Eugen-Park Munich.

Applications for this year's BIM Award are open until June 20, 2023.
Applications are open to architects, engineers, specialist planners, building owners, building contractors, craftsmen, cities and municipalities, among others. Real construction projects and their sub-processes can be submitted. There are several categories to choose from, such as building in the existing fabric, sustainability, digital cooperation, or particularly focusing on rural areas. The projects must have been planned in Bavaria in the past four years and must already be under construction.
The prize is worth a total of 30,000 euros, which is divided among the various categories. The prize is to be awarded annually with changing focus topics and special awards.

Florian Collignon, a young French landscape architect graduated in Angers (France), visited bdla Bavaria on March 29, 2023. Dr. Johannes Gnädinger welcomed the guest.
In a collective of authors, Florian Collignon is working on a study on the future development of landscape architecture education in Angers and France as a whole. For this purpose, an exchange was sought with the Federation of Swiss Landscape Architects (BSLA), with a partner university in Canada as well as with the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) and bdla Bavaria.

Munich's citizens owe F.L. von Sckell, who died on February 24, 1823, not only the English Garden as a valuable green oasis of recreation and leisure in a central location. As a grand master of garden art and at the same time an excellent city planner, F.L. von Sckell can be considered the actual founder of Modern Munich. With his general plans, Sckell broke up the medieval city layout and created open spaces with public greenery that are still recognizable today and whose upgrading is currently being discussed.

A new guide for more biodiversity in the city is the result of the "Animal Aided Design" (AAD) project of the Center for Urban Nature and Climate Adaptation at the Technical University of Munich (ZSK). In the future, municipalities and planners will be able to use these recommendations for action to design animal-friendly and nature-oriented housing projects.
In the AAD project, scientists and planners redensified a residential complex in Munich's Brantstraße and, for the first time, specifically integrated the needs of selected animal species - green woodpecker, house sparrow, hedgehog and common bat - during the planning phase.
